"I've always been curious about things that push me out of my comfort zone and challenge me both physically and mentally," he says. That curiosity led him to his first adventure 4 years ago - skydiving - a moment of pure adrenaline, freedom, and presence. "The feeling of freefall is impossible to describe unless you've done it yourself. After landing, I felt really refresh-minded and just happy that I did it."
RIDING IN SYNC
Cycling is a particular favourite of Paulius'. Due to his visual disability, he has naturally gravitated towards tandem bikes, finding joy in the teamwork and shared experience it brings. "Communication is everything. You need to trust your partner and understand each other's movements - when to slow down, when to push, how to adjust to different terrains," he explains.
One of his most unforgettable cycling adventures was a week-long tandem camp in Germany, where he rode with people from all over the world. "Every day was a new experience - new roads, new people, and new lessons. It was a journey filled with fun, friendships, and opportunities."
WALKING THROUGH HISTORY
While cycling brings connection, long-distance walking offers something different - solitude, reflection, and a deep appreciation for the path ahead. That's what drew him to the Camino Lituano, a network of historical trails weaving through Lithuania.
"Each route isn't just a journey through a place, but through your own thoughts," Paulius says. "After a week of working at a computer, it's amazing to just disconnect and walk 40 kilometres over a weekend. Such an incredible opportunity to rest before next week!"
Somewhere between the forests, villages, and old town paths, he finds a reset button - a moment to reflect on what he has achieved and what comes next.
