Embracing the HR role can present numerous challenges for employees. According to Greta, one of the most common challenges she faces on a daily basis is gaining a thorough understanding of the company's fundamental needs, and how to harmonize them with employee needs and compliance with laws. If an HR manager is already adept at understanding all parties and fulfilling everyone's needs, their primary challenge would be to maintain their identity and not lose themselves in the process.

She balanced the needs of employees with the goals of the company “wasn’t an easy job to do and not for everyone. It is really important to have a great understanding what company attitude is towards the most important things, be ambassador of this approach. On the other hand, we should be empathetic employees partners knowing their needs, struggles and represent the importance of these things to higher managers. To balance these two opposite sides, I need great analytical skills and eager to know better all parties essential needs. Being in this role, it is essential to have your own strong moral compass.”

Greta stayed up-to-date on changes and developments in HR regulations and laws by keeping an eye on the HR regulations and laws on social media, government sites and attending HR trainings to keep up changing environmental.

According to Greta, certain skills are crucial for achieving success in the HR field. She believes that being a proficient human resources manager necessitates possessing critical thinking, empathy for others, excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, and most significantly, the ability to be influential.

“You should keep in mind that you will always be in situations where is no one right and clear answer how to manage situations and people’s needs. You could end up in situations when you will be the person who gives the bad news for employees. On the other hand, Human recourses management is always challenging, dynamic and you are always in the center of events having up to date information about essential things in the company.” The advice she wants to partake for people who wants to pursue a career in HR management.
