Counting with Care: REIZ TECH's Quality Work in Accounting

Accounting is vital to every business out there. In this era where we’ve all had to redefine “crucial,” it is time to give accounting another look. Often accounting is misunderstood as an overcast or administrative duty. Accounting empowers value-driving judgments, so we can check our bookkeeping is precise, well-timed, and consistent. We all need an accounting person we can rely on. On November 10th, we celebrate our accounting team. The smart and resilient women of Reiz Tech not only advanced in superior accuracy but also, continuously worked for precision and results of Reiz Tech’s labyrinths in numbers. Accountants method their career around overseeing numbers and business finances and that is why there is International Accounting Day to praise! 

We recently had a talk session with the women of accounting, and it was noteworthy! As we honor this year’s Accounting Day, let us discuss what it is like to be part of a team where results matter, see beyond numbers and deliver the promise to Reizers

Karmela: The Passion to Unlock Potential 

Many individuals begin each day meditative over the admired speech marks that have been said all through our history. It keeps them focused on their objectives in life as they ponder these astonishing authors of quotes that have fashioned our world to a great extent. 

As mentioned by Karmela, every day in accounting is a day full of resilience. “Whenever you feel like giving up, remember the reason why you’ve started in the first place” was the quote she always employs in her work and life. She said, “I love this quote. It has been my go-to motivational quote ever since my undergrad days. So, whenever I feel like I am on the verge of giving up or having a tough time at work or in life, I just remember my deepest why.” This a gentle reminder that Accounting is not always up-front, sometimes it requires burrowing for information, piecing things together, and revealing financial particulars that are not evident, exclusively when leading an audit or performing multifarious tax calculations. 

As the world of business evolves, so are the accounting profession. You must acquire the most sought-after accounting skills. She mentioned, “For me, a good accountant is adaptable, a critical thinker and has great analytical skills, and most importantly has strong ethics.” She believes that with those skills, an accountant has the recipe for a successful career in accounting. 

Reiz Tech offers a glut of career advancement which Karmela has been a testament to how Reiz Tech changed her outlook in life. She articulated, “I love working with Reiz Tech. It is the first-ever global company I have worked with. When I started my journey of being an online freelancer, my goal was really to achieve financial and time freedom. And so, I was grateful that Reiz found me for it gave me the freedom I am aiming for. In Reiz, I can work anytime and anywhere I want. Aside from my personal goal, of course, I want to help Reiz Tech to achieve its financial goal as part of the accounting team.” 

Birutė: An Instinct for Growth 

In today's world, inspiring accountants can be a challenge. Given the critical role of the accounting team in Reiz Tech, they must work closely together to achieve their unit's operative goals. "Every year at Reiz tech is full of challenges. The company is creative in its activities, and the direction of sustainability also brings innovations. And all innovations must be reflected in accounting, it is necessary not to forget the legal and tax environment and to look for the most useful options for the company to reflect the current situation, to put it on the suitable 'selves'. So, it is never the same, never boring. I have no doubt that the coming years will be the same: growing and bringing new experiences." as mentioned by Brute on how she was able to handle the past year and moving forward in Reiz Accounting.  

With companies all over the world, the work-from-home setup has become the new normal. "We have been working remotely since the beginning of the operation, we have not noticed any major differences. The hardest part for me is not to be tempted by housework when working from home, so usually, I work in the office. Also, to set priorities for the most important and urgent tasks, follow the plan and leave time for extra tasks. It often happens in accounting you need to do some tasks "here and now", that's the most interesting thing in our field – always to be ready." Which she believes to be the challenging (and easiest) thing about working from home.  

She also mentioned that working with Karmela and Greta "is amazing! With Karmela, I always feel warm communication and a great desire to cooperate and help. With Greta, it is most pleasant to see how she grows professionally and copes well with challenges and she is one of my biggest supporters and motivators. It's great, pleasant and I'd say easy to work emotionally when you have such a dream team." 

Greta: Turning Vision into Value 

Over the past two decades, the business world has beheld a histrionic change due to technology, business intricacy, and globalization. As a result, accountants need to master not only the technical skills of their job but also countless ‘soft skills, including the knack to communicate, synchronize, work under pressure, and solve difficulties. Greta is the perfect example of how her proficiency and skills revolved the accounting vision into value! 

Greta had led the accounting team to success through, “teamwork, attention to detail, and respect. Sharing a piece of knowledge within a team is important as well. If you have any questions or doubts your colleagues are always ready to help.” Being part of the team at Reiz Tech was very dear to her, and she thanked her “amazing colleagues. Both (Birute and Karmela) are unique and professional in their field.” 

She believes that “an accountant is more than someone who tallies up the numbers. An accounting professional knows how to face emergencies with a smile and make complicated things simple. But most important – an accountant feels comfortable working on strict timelines and making sure that everything is correct” which is their common goal and bearing daily.  

Goal setting is a significant part of the business. Without business goals, you might find that you are wallowing with no direction. Goals can help you stay engrossed in where you want to be while helping you produce a plot for getting there. Greta shared that “looking back there were a lot of changes already since the beginning of quarantine. Processes have been automated; paperwork has been reduced. In addition to this, we have become an international team. I am incredibly happy to see progress and I do believe that our team will grow more in the next 5 years. I do think that more functions will be automated and optimized.” 

 Keeping track of your growth as you move headlong step by step can help you keep things in a standpoint and deliver a feeling of reassurance and achievement. Your overall goal is the bright sunny light at the end of the tunnel and remember… no one clears a long tunnel in one giant leap.

To build and sustain a solid foundation in REIZ TECH ‘s Accounting Department, our CEO Valdas needs the “big three” often called the Accounting Women – Greta, Birute, and Karmela and we are celebrating International Accountant Day with them!
